What a fantastic time we had at our BAOBAB BLAST VBS this year!

SUNDAY NURSERY

(Available at 9:00 a.m. during Worship & Sunday School)

We are looking for two (2) volunteers each week, and at least one must be age 18. If you can help out, sign up on the sheet in the hallway, or

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL

10:15 a.m. (After Worship Service)

We will continue using the “One Room Sunday School" program curriculum.

If you know anyone in your neighborhood or at school who has children and would like them to learn about God, have them join us for singing, stories and crafts. We look forward to seeing our young church members each week as well as some new faces!

ADULT BIBLE STUDY CLASS

New Topic In Adult Bible Study…Short But Mighty

Beginning Sunday, September 5, the Adult Bible Study Class will resume their journey from Genesis to Revelation by studying the book of Joel. Eleven of the Minor Prophets remain to be studied to complete our comprehensive review of the Old Testament.  

Short, but packed with significance for our lives today, some of the Minor Prophets will be covered in one lesson, some will require two, and some lessons cover two prophets.  These short books provide a good opportunity for you to give this class a try for a Sunday or two.  

Come and join the discussion!  We meet in the last classroom on the right of the upper Sunday School level.

CHRISTIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP CLASS

This is a Sunday School Class for all ages that uses the international lesson.  Both the Old Testament and the New Testament are utilized by the writers of the class texts.  The class has existed for over fifty years, and presently, Dr. Charles Reed is the teacher.

Chancel Choir Rehearsal:  7:30 PM Every Thursday - Sanctuary (September through May). Our Chancel Choir sings at the 9:00 AM service and the Children's Choir (The Little Choristers) sings once a month at our 9:00 AM service.

Handbell Choir Rehearsal:  6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Every Thursday - Sanctuary (September through May).  The Handbell Choir is a mixed aged ensemble, with our emphasis on both challenges and fun, all to the glory of God!  We perform at our 9:00 AM church services, eight to ten times per year, and also enjoy participating in special events when the opportunity arises. Our specialty is lively church type music, played at a 2+ to 3 (medium) difficulty level-however, the only requirement for joining is enthusiasm (we'll teach you the rest!).  Come join our Handbell family! NEW THIS FALL -- YOUTH CHOIR

"TRINITY SPIRIT" Youth Choir:  Rehearsal during Sunday School

This is our new Youth Choir program. Rehearsals will be held during Sunday School. The choir will have two songs for worship each week – one for younger youth and one for older youth. The choir will sing on the third Sunday of each month starting in October.We look forward to having your children join us!

Trinity UCC does not have a Youth Group at this time, but is looking into starting one in 2010/2011. If you are interested in getting involved, please call 717-838-1601.

The Bloomin' Flowers is a small group of ladies who meet for a 9 AM breakfast the third Thursday of each month at Hometown Restaurant in Palmyra.  We meet our friends, make new friends, and participate in several service projects each year.

Our 50+ Renewal Group is a group of seniors age 50 or older who meet about nine times per year, usually the first Tuesday of the month at 1:30 PM (times may vary depending on the event) a in Trinity's Fellowship Hall, unless otherwise specified.  There are no meetings for the months of July through September.  We welcome members of our own and outside our congregation to join us for  fellowship and service to others.

Men of Trinity is a service organization of our church, with all the men automatically as members.  We support the church physically, with landscaping and maintenance, paid by our fundraisers.  We also support our church family, along with the Women's Guild, by such things as our annual Potato Filling Sale.  Plan on joining the fun - we'll let you know when there's work to be done! Contact David Rossetti at 838-6087.

In addition to a continuing need for monetary contributions, the Caring Cupboard is always in need of food donations. Call them at 838-9493 to find out their specific needs each week. We would like to remind you to check the expiration dates on products before dropping them off because we will not distribute expired items.
